This concert will be held in the auditorium at The Corner Uniting Church, Cnr of Diagonal and Oaklands Roads, Warradale from 7:30 to 9:30pm on Saturday 26th June 2010.

Costs: Adults $10, Concession/Under 12s $8. Tickets are available from Vicki on 8295 2839 or Claire (between 7:00-9:00pm) on 0406 546 430. Tickets also available at the door on the night.

Supper will be provided.

Come and wear your interpretation of something Aussie as there will be prizes for the most appropriately dressed man and woman!

Guest artists will include a small? Big Band to continue the vibes while the band catches its breath.

It will be interesting to see how the tubas will play the string bass parts!

It will be held in the Salisbury Central hall in 17-19 Wiltshire Street Salisbury on Saturday 31st July 2010. 7pm till 11.30pm approx.

It will not be confined to Brass or Orchestral only. Any instrumentation from e.g.: - a Spoon ensemble to a Ruritanian Nose Flute group may participate! All are welcome.

The only requirement will be for you to organize yourselves into smallish varying size ensembles of players that can move on or off the stage with as little fuss and time as possible. Please bring your own music stands.

The format for the evening will be BYO food and drink and the entry fee will be a Gold Coin Donation only. (Tea & Coffee will be provided)

Would you please reply by email as soon as possible with details of ensemble sizes that may be performing and supporters attending, so that group tables and an approximate timetable of events can be arranged?

The next event for the Port Lincoln City Band is our "Dust off your instrument night" on May 31st.

Coming up we have a combined concert with the Port Lincoln Singers. - Spring into Song concert at the Nautilus Theatre September 12th, this show may be taken on the road to Cummins and Tumby bay in October, where the Band will combine with the Sing Australia groups of the region.


We are also performing at the Port Lincoln Show on August 15th and the Relay for Life on November 27th

Our music director, Mike Hester will be out of the country for a whole school term, so we have a temporary MD lined up, Stephen Campbell, also from the PL High School. It should be interesting times ahead!

The fault was with our ISP and beyond our control. After Warriparinga Brass won the C grade Junior Brass Band section, Unley Concert Band came 2nd in B grade Concert Bands and City of Holdfast Bay Concert Band came 2nd in C grade Concert Bands. Marion City Band came 3rd in the Brass Band Open C Grade but won the Open C Grade Street March section. Well done! The South Australian Australian Band Association is now officially responsible for the 2011 National Band Championships to be held in Adelaide next Easter.
