Marion City Band has a vacancy for a bass trombone. We're a lively and enthusiastic B Grade band who are dedicated to creating awesome music! We're looking for a bass trombone player who's up for lots of fun as well as working hard as a member of our team. A big faaaaaat bass trom sound essential! Following the success of the 2015 SASYB Camp and Tour the South Australian State Youth Brass Summer Camp and Tour is on again and will take place on the 11th - 16th January 2016. Brass and Percussion players 24 years and under are encouraged to apply for this opportunity to travel through across the Yorke Peninsula, based in Port Vincent.
Under the skillful guidance of former ASO Trumpet, Jim Dempsey and Internationally renowned Trombonist, Conductor and Composer, Bill Broughton, the 2016 SASYB Camp and Tour will storm the Yorke Peninsula with a series of concerts to delight all (with the Blue Tuba).
Keep your eyes peeled and your loose change ready for the Blue Tuba at the SA State Band Champs!

After 26 years of dedicated service, conducting Para Hills Band, Aubrey Gannon is retiring. Para Hills band welcome you to join them for Party/Concert to celebrate at Para Hills Bowling Club, Bridge Road, Para Hills on Sunday 26th July 2015. Every known Band, Choir & Orchestra in SA was asked to participate in this initiative to raise the profile of Community Music Groups using varied, low cost, quality performances and widespread co-operative publicity by all members of these Groups. The response from Bands, Choirs and Orchestras has been fantastic and every show should please audiences.
The 2015 Festival venue is the Cumberland Park Community Centre at 390 Goodwood Road, Cumberland Park, 200 metres south of BIGW, fairly centrally located, local parking, fully air-conditioned & easy bus access G10/G20 Stop 10.
