- The Unley Concert Band is one of the leading concert bands in Adelaide.
- It has a very dynamic music director and aims to raise the standard of its members’ musicianship by playing both entertainment pieces for concerts and civic events and by entering competitions or festivals locally and nationally.
- It undertook a European Tour in April 2009 playing concerts in Paris and the music for the nationally televised Anzac Day Dawn Service.
- It has a large contingent that plays in its marching band that participates in parades like on Anzac Day and for major Christmas pageants.
- It rehearses in the Unley Town Hall which is a very good performance venue. It is supported by the Unley Council and is financially sound.
- It has an active playing membership of around fifty with the ages ranging from high school and uni students through to people in various professions and some retired persons. It has a friendly, helpful spirit.
