The Tea Tree Gully Concert Band is the ‘senior’ band of the Banksia Park Concert Bands Inc, and is recognized by the City of Tea Tree Gully as the official ‘Council’ band. It is composed largely of mature age musicians, many of whom are retirees. A large proportion of the players have learned their music quite late in life, many taking up their instruments only after retirement. These players are supported by a core of experienced musicians, and directed by Sergey Grynchuk, who studied at the L’vov Conservatory in the Ukraine before coming to Australia some eight years ago. Sergey has been musical director of the Concert Band for the past seven years.

The band meets for rehearsals each Wednesday evening at the Banksia Park Primary School and new players are always welcome.

The band is available for concerts and functions.
