The Playford City Bands Incorporated is a community organisation which provides a facility for the study and practice of music, and encourages and promotes music appreciation and involvement in music in Playford. Their membership totals approximately 70 members across the age spectrum.

Formed from the ashes of the Elizabeth Brass Band, this Concert Band has been a focal point of community musicians. The Playford Bands consist of musicians in two concert bands, a folk group, singing group, dance group, jazz band, youth group, classical ensemble and a band for people with special needs.
