Adelaide Eisteddfod
The 2008 Adelaide Eisteddfod Brass competitions were held on Sunday 10th August at Rosefield Uniting Church, 2 Carlton St, Highgate with a good balance of performers' capabilities and a varied range of musical items performed.
It was satisfying to observe players learning from their peers and positive audience support. Ian Denbigh, ASO Trombonist, was an excellent adjudicator. There were some new competitors and all players used excellent accompanists.
All 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners receive medallions and the cash prizes are shown below.

Any Brass. 13 years & under from 1.30pm. Own choice. 5 minutes. 5 competitors.

Any Brass. 17 years & under from 2pm. Own choice. 8 minutes. 8 competitors.
- 1st $50 Amanda Tillett (85), 2nd $20 Maeve McLoughlin (83), 3rd Maria Spano (82), H.M. Orson Paine (81).
Any Brass. Open age from 3.35pm. Own choice. 8 minutes. 4 competitors.
- 1st $300 Karina Filipi (87), 2nd $50 Amanda Tillett (86), 3rd Cassandra Pope (85).
